Junior year (2005-06) pre-season report from Head Coach Travis Ford: "James is probably the best shooter on our basketball team. He's the guy who spends endless amount of time in the gym working on his shooting. He can not only catch and shoot, he can put it on the floor and shoot, come off screens and shoot. He is somebody we are going to look at to set up a lot, to get a lot of long range shots for him, he is somebody who can put the ball in the hole and score a lot of points very quickly. He has to continue his work on his defense but he is a player that is really committed to getting better. He is going to be very good for us, he is somebody we desperately need on this basketball team, someone who can shoot the ball."
