ric Williams, a 6-9 sophomore forward from Syracuse University, has committed verbally to Massachusetts after deciding to transfer.

Williams, who did not see too much playing time for Syracuse, left the Orangemen program during the St. Johns game as a freshman. He also missed a couple of practices as a freshman.

As a senior in high school, Williams was highly touted but never seemed to get his game off the ground.
