Art Bowers was on the roster until 11/25/05, when he announced he would transfer out of UMass.
James Life wore number 5 for the first half of the season.
Maurice Maxwell was suspended for academic reasons on 1/6/06, and it was announced on 1/31/06 that he was no longer enrolled in the university.

Luke Bonner will redshirt in 2005-06 under NCAA transfer rules, and has 3 years of eligibility remaining.
Etienne Brower will redshirt in 2005-06 under NCAA transfer rules, and has 2 years of eligibility remaining.
Lawrence Carrier can regain his fourth year of eligibility (2007-08 season) if he completes academic requirements by the end of the 2006-07 academic year.
Gary Forbes will redshirt in 2005-06 under NCAA transfer rules, and has 2 years of eligibility remaining.
Rashaun Freeman can regain his fourth year of eligibility (2006-07 season) if he completes academic requirements by the end of the 2005-06 academic year.
Dante Milligan will redshirt in the spring semester of 2004-05, and the fall semester 2005-06, under NCAA transfer rules. He will be eligible for the 2005-06 spring semester, the 12/23/05 game against Siena.
