  * Played and started all of UM's 74 games in his three varsity seasons.
  * 1,277 career points scored.  See where that stands on [[statistics_history#individual_career_records|UM's all-time list]].
  * Held UM's high mark in points in a single game (41) for nearly five decades.
  * 449 free throws attempted in his career was, at the time, most in program history.  Since surpassed by many who could play as freshmen, which Tindall couldn't due to NCAA rules at the time.
  * 837 rebounds was, at the time, second-most in program history.

  * Led the team in scoring and rebounding with 19.6 points and 12.0 rebounds per game.  His scoring average was, at the time, fourth-highest in UM history.

  * Led the team in free throw percentage (.672), scoring with 17.2 points, and minutes with 36.6 per game.  Second in rebounding (10.9) to Tim Edwards (13.7).
  * Scored 37 points versus [[opponent_depaul|DePaul]] (12/29).  This still stands as the [[statistics_history#individual_single-game_records|UM record for points in a game]] at a neutral site.((Through the end of the 2024-25 season.))
  * Scored 34 points the next night versus [[opponent_texas|Texas]] (12/30).

  * Selected by the Atlanta Hawks in the 13th Round of the NBA Draft.((https://www.basketball-reference.com/draft/NBA_1968.html)) Tindall was the first from UMass ever selected in the NBA Draft.  However, he never ended up playing in the league.
