Head Coach, 2001-05

  • 2004-05 season: Winning overall and conference record, beat #7 UConn, bad call loss at Dayton, Rashaun Freeman made A-10 First Team, but schedule was stacked with home games, home attendance averaged 3,943, and team got bounced in the first round of the A-10 Tournament.

2001-02 season

  • 13-16 (.448) overall record
  • 6-10 (.375) in the A-10, 4th place finish in the East (6 teams)

Player summaries:

  • Shannon Crooks - Did well in his senior season, filling some of the scoring void left by Monty Mack, averaged 14.6 ppg, 3.7 rpg, 4.0 apg in 35.1 mpg.
  • Anthony Anderson - Named the A-10 Rookie of the Year. Immediate impact with 10.0 ppg, 3.4 rpg, .388 from 3.
  • Kit Rhymer - Numbers went down a bit from the year before, in the same amount of minutes. Led the team on the glass at 6.0 rpg, and 47 blocks.
  • Micah Brand - Got more minutes and upped his numbers to 9.3 ppg, 5.7 rpg.
  • Raheim Lamb - Decent start for the first-year player with 5.7 ppg and 3.4 rpg.
  • Eric Williams - Capable backup to Rhymer and Brand in the post, finishing up his career.
  • Kyle Wilson - Freshman did freshman things, with 3.9 ppg. Struggled a bit with .306 from the floor, .235 from three.
  • Willie Jenkins - Struggled to break through, with just 3.0 points and 2.2 rebounds in 11.5 minutes per game.

Newcomers:
Brennan Martin and Kyle Wilson signed in April and were eligible to play in the Fall.
Marcus Cox transferred in but had to sit out a year.
