Series

Notes

  • Harvard hosted the first seven games of the series, and nine of the first ten.
  • Several of the series' games in the 1920s were played at Harvard one night, and at M.I.T. either the day before or day after.
  • Jack Leaman's teams were 8-1 against the Crimson.
  • Frank McLaughlin, brother of UM's Tom McLaughlin, coached the Crimson from 1977-85. The two faced off twice, splitting the two games in 1981 and '82.
  • Frank Sullivan coached the Crimson from 1991-2007, going 0-1 versus UMass in that time. Frank became one of our color analysts in TV and radio broadcasts, starting in 2017.1)
