LIU has primary campuses in Brooklyn, and the “Post” campus in Brookville. Effective with the 2019–20 academic year, LIU merged their two separate athletic programs into one.¹⁾ Teams in the combined program would be referred to as the LIU Sharks, and run from the Brooklyn campus.
Derek Kellogg, who was let go from his UMass head coaching job in March 2017, was hired to the same position at LIU-Brooklyn in April 2017.²⁾
