Schedule

What we know so far is here. The final schedule is typically announced in late August / early September.

  • UM is slated to take a pre-season exhibition trip to the Virgin Islands in August.1) Details TBA.
  • Rutgers (Away): Tentative. Expecting to start a home-and-home series, with UM hosting Rutgers in 2020-21, but details have shifted. Both games scheduled as part of a football/basketball arrangement.2)3)4)
  • South Carolina (Home): Tentative. SC owes us a return game from our visit there in the 2017-18 season.5)6)7)8)9)10)11)12)13)
  • Yale (Home): TBD if this is a one-off, or part of a series.14)
  • Virginia (Neutral): UM will face the Cavaliers (defending national champions) in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Tipoff at Mohegan Sun.15)16)17)18)
  • Naismith Tipoff: After the Virginia game, UM will face either Arizona State or St. John's at Mohegan Sun.19)
  • Naismith Tipoff other info: UM participated in the event in the 2014-15 season, where the event consisted of 4 games: 2 at home and 2 at Mohegan Sun. A similar format was used in the 2018 event. In 2019, the “campus game” participants are reported to be Vermont, Rider, Columbia, and Central Connecticut.20) Vermont is reported to be committed to play Virginia and St. John's, so eliminate them as a possible campus opponent for us.21) At Mohegan Sun, CCSU will first face Vermont, and Columbia will play Rider.22)
  • Athletic Director Ryan Bamford has stated that he will continue to explore opportunities in conjunction with football and men's basketball scheduling, like what we've done with South Carolina and Georgia.23)
