A-10 gets 8 teams into post season is fantastic for the league. That was all 8 top seeds in A-10 tournament. UMass was 8 seed so receiving lowest nit seed is no surprise. They did beat Temple but lost twice to LaSalle and by 30 to Dayton so now the team has to prove the committee wrong.

Absolutely agree. We will have the horses to make the tourny next year but we will need some top 50 RPI wins and these will have to come from out of conference. They need to drop the cupcakes and schedule some quality opponents.

Based on DK's answer to the question of having no time outs left with 4 min to play against Temple, I would have to agree with Butter's assessment that DK lacks confidence in calling end of game plays. Does anybody know if Rhody still has a shot to get in to the tournament?With all the tie breakers I was wondering if they will be playing to get in.
If not, we should win with ease.

In the big picture of hoping for 3 teams in the NCAAs and an NIT bid one could argue a win by St. Joe's keeps them on the bubble and a loss for the Bonnies knocks them out of the NIT. It's nice when a season keeps your interest to the very last game.

A win tonight would lock up an NIT bid and put us back in the NCAA picture. Much easier said than done.

If the A-10 only gets 2 teams in, that will hurt UMass's chances to get into the NIT

Xavier lost to St. Louis last night. 9-6 in conference, 18-11 overall does not look like a Big Dance resume to me. Who will be that 3rd team from the A-10 to get in?
