More competitive? You knew he was going to Div 2 so he wouldn't lose a year and get to play right away. UMass-Lowell is close to home, and ranked in the top 10:

Sounds perfect for him.

Good Luck Raheim!
He didn't fit the Lappas mold and more importantly, he wasn't a Lappas recruit, so he is gone. This scenario is nothing new, but I will miss seeing him play. I still don't understand why somebody with his rebounding skills couldn't get more playing time on a team that was constantly beat on the boards.

Because Viggiano has way more potential and more overall ability, Lap was going to give him the minutes regardless. I'm sure Lamb might have helped someon the glass and defensively, but Lap was probably more concerned with getting Viggiano experience than getting a couple extra boards on a team that had so many problems that it wouldn't have made much of a difference anyway.
I'm sorry to see Lamb go, but I don't think it would've helped the team all that much to give Lamb time at the expense of Viggiano...from what I saw, the team was much worse when Viggiano wasn't in the game. Besides, it's not like Lamb didn't get any minutes...as I recall he was still getting about 10 minutes a game before he quit the team. Let's be honest, if it was that obvious that he was going to save the team and get them a few more wins, the coach would've gladly given him more minutes.

Miagi, what were the biggest problems with the team last year? First, easily the worst rebounding I've ever seen from a college basketball team. Secondly, they relied too much on outside shots that would never fall instead of trying to score from 15 feet in.
Would Lamb have helped in both of those areas? Yes.
I'd love to hear how you can so confidently say that Vig has more potential and ability than Lamb.
