What a game! See ya Temple! God are we going to be exhausted tomorrow and it's VCU
I'm barely hanging in there. Only 8 hours of sleep in the last 72 hours. Well worth it. You never know what can happen. Let's go UMass!

Us die hards told people to watch this team all year and most people didnt pay attention until the Butler game. Then they thought we were crazy for liking this iteration of Minutemen. But NOW those same casual fans who I kept hammering with emails and tweets since the Butler letdown are hitching their wagons to the UMass Basketball star. THEY HAVE THE FEVER! Lets do it. Whether you are cheering from the stands, a bar, a pententiary, an insane asylum or your living room couch we will all be ONE tomorrow in our hopes of taking down VCU!#UMassNCAA2013 #BeatVCU

Wow, what a win! To be honest, I wasn't expecting it, but the guys came to play, and simply looked like they wanted the win more than Temple. Man, it's nice to shoe Temple the door as they leave the A10!!!
VCU scares me though! Not only do I think they are the toughest matchup for us of all the teams in the league, but having our 3rd game in 3 nights against one of the best pressing teams in the country. Doesn't help that VCU is deeper than us and can keep sending waves of players at us. We need to limit our turnovers, we'll have some simply because of tired legs and being a 3rd tough game mentally is 3 days...this one being less than 24hours from the time we beat Temple. Oh well, it's great to still be playing! Go UMass!

Watched the game at the hangar, at the bar with a few friends and tons of other umass fans. One of the best sports tv-watching experiences I've had in the past 2 or 3 years. Another classic Umass win- this performance by chaz so far reminds me of Kemba Walker taking over the Big East tournament and winning it in the place he grew up playing ball. Cant wait for tomorrow.

Our rebounding in the second half was pathetic except for Maxie who was terrific. Bravo to him. And yes, the VCU fans were numerous and loud. Also very friendly. Let's hope our folks show up in large numbers as well. A nickname for Chaz.. the Chazmanian Devil. Another possible nickname...Niagra. He takes as many falls as that place in upstate New York.

Good call. I'm glad someone mentioned this. I was thinking the same thing. Very impressive job by him. He played his role perfectly.
Also, love to hear from the DK/TV critics right now. The people that have been vocal about their disdain for these two know who they are on this board. Tonight Kellogg advanced to his second straight A10 semi- whens the last time a umass coach has done that? We also have knocked out Temple in the past 2 years (also Temple's last 2 years in the A10).
Vinson nailed one of the most clutch 3's- or shots in general- than any umass player has hit in a LONG time. The kid just had a vintage moment as a senior in the post-season, couldnt feel better for him.

You are right Big John. I'll stop now.Big_John_Studd wrote: Take it easy old man. You already got your shots in.
But even you might agree your comment in the heat of the moment yesterday about of our own players was so classless, so unfair and so wrong it deserved one more shot.
GO UMASS !
"This is my dream job''
Of their 36 total 17 of them came in the second half so it really wasn't as 'pathetic' as you might have thought. I understand what you're saying about Maxie because I too thought he had some HUGE boards. 5 of his 7 came in the second half as did 5 of Cady's 8 total.senior citizen wrote:Our rebounding in the second half was pathetic except for Maxie who was terrific. Take it from an "oldtimer" and let it go. Enjoy the win and look forward to the VCU game. As the WagonMaster says......."Just Win Baby!"DKERA wrote:Also, love to hear from the DK/TV critics right now. The people that have been vocal about their disdain for these two know who they are on this board.
