Nineteen points against a shitty Bona team? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Our line-up should be Maxie, Coleman, DG, Clarke and Hinds. Need guys who can get between the zone and make shit happen. And if Cady is going to get his lunch eaten on the other hand, I see no reason why he needs to get minutes right now. That was just awful basketball.
Marty, we have to see the forest through the trees here. It's not about rearranging the current roster of players into different combinations that might somehow become effective. You can rearrange this all you want, it's not going to do a damn worth of good, because none of our players can create enough to offset the static flow of our offense. This story unfolding before us is about the coach recognizes that what he runs for offense isn't going to cut it. That realization doesn't make for much rooting interest throughout the rest of the year and it's easier to ignore it, but it doesn't make it less true. Our coach has hit his ceiling. And there's no Chaz on the horizon. Pipkins is not that kind of player. New X's and O's Assistant for next year -- the program's only hope!

UMass looks like a bunch of lost puppies out there. NOBODY is leading this team, and that includes DK. We don't have a true point guard who can pass, dribble, or create for his teammates. We don't have any consistent shooters that can keep the defense honest. And we don't have a coach who can make up for these things with a good game plan.

Stir that all up and we have the product you see now. It will not change this season and we will probably finish somewhere in the lower middle of the A-10 pack. These issues are serious problems that could hang around this team for a few years to come (unless a Chaz type player comes back). I don't know the solution, but the programs ascension back into consistent NCAA tourney contender may have been fools gold.

So I guess Clark has two. I only remember him getting one. Still, at this point, I'd go with him until he fouls out. Only guard who can consistently create off the dribble.

Joleon- I think we're a tad bit above mediocre as a D-1 program. DK deserves credit for that. However, fans being fans, we want to see the program take the next step and reach its potential. I've never been more convinced of what is needed for that to happen.

Bona is one of the few teams on our schedule against whom our press might actually work. Wouldn't mind trying to push tempo a bit here. Especially if our half court O is going to remain this shitty.

Oof. Rough first half all around. Reminded me a bit of the BC first half -- we're lucky to only be down 9 and that's more about the Bonnies than it is us. The spacing is terrible, we aren't playing strong with the ball, and the Bonnies just pack the paint and we have no answer for it. Everything on offense is difficult for us. Cady/Maxy 6-for-8, everyone else 2-for-13. And then the defensive rebounding or lack thereof has allowed the Bonnies to take advantage.

We are playing like we don't even want to be there and that perhaps is the most concerning part. Shaking my head with both the coaching and the playing. Win or lose this game, every time we appear to take a little bit of a step forward, we take even bigger steps backwards.

Looks like I might be going back on sabbatical. This place is going to get ugly.

So much for our guards and handling the ball. All of them are mediocre. Bonnies have 17pts to our 2 off of turnovers. Hoping we have a run to get back in but we have no one who appears willing and ABLE

Over. In fact, I'll bet we win the game

Doesn't mean our problems will go away.

This is Godawful. I have never seen a worse half court offense. NEVER.

This is probably about to get really ugly. Players just don't look into it. I think they realize the issues they have and are losing motivation.

If we win the game, it'll be because Bergantino stepped up. I'm not overly confident.
