Interesting prospect. Sounds like he's got a lot of potential. If DK is committed to playing up tempo, Pipkins and McLean are good building blocks in the backcourt. Hope they make life miserable for ballhandlers.

I'm excited. He looks like a very good player with incredible athleticism and great instincts. I know the word is his shot isn't great but I'd say the form on his jumper looks better than anyone else on the team last year. I thought it looks smooth and he gets great elevation when he wants to.

I also like that he can clearly use both hands. He likes to dunk with his right and he even shot some floaters with his right but he shoots the jumper and FT lefty. Dribbles easily either way and has some nice moves.

I think this is a great signing. Very excited. Welcome aboard.

The book on McLean is that he's an amazing athlete and he's got tons of potential. Some have likened him to Briante Weber. He's not really a PG yet and his jump shot is a weakness due to it's inconsistency. Prior to this year he played in in a weaker prep school conference but won conference player of the year as both a freshman and sophomore and scored a ton of points. During this year's AAU play he's struggled to get consistent minutes. A back court with him and Pipkins could be something special defensively. I'd say DK seems to be doubling down on the uptempo style of play. With McLean in the fold I hope DK adds at least one recruit in this class that shoots the ball well.
