Looking forward to this one. UMass has repeatedly been close to getting a win this season and I'd love to see our guys pull off the shocker at UT. Should be fun to watch - GO UMASS !!!!

I know they are not synonymous, thats why I'm looking forward to the game b/c it should be fun to watch UMAss take on the Vols. Considering we were playing albany and ccsu 5 yrs ago I love watching UMass playing in the FBS and against great teams - its a great thing for UMass. I also love watching the team continue to fight and to improve. Sure the self inflicted wounds, mistakes and losses are not "fun" But it is fun just watching our kids compete and get better and it is going to pay off - keep the faith !!! The team just needs to keep getting better each week. Better Days are coming !!! Go UMass !!!!

So who is actually making the trip to Knoxville??? I fly out Friday and staying with my friend's friends who all went to Tenn. So I will be surrounded by Tenn. I am sure they aren't even thinking about us and I just hope we can keep it respectable (under 23). I am told the seats are either 2nd row upper deck or corner end zone. I know I would like to go to a local bar and watch the MSU v ND game later at night. Anyone one going out?? ( I guess it depends if there is something close I can walk to or will have to uber) and what my host have planned.

The real question... am I going to need to pack a paper bag for this game?? We are do for an ass whupping.... yet something tells me we hang tough for 3 quarters only to have a pick six swing the momentum and Tenn opening the gates and making it look easy.

As always... Go Umass... I can't believe this is actually my first SEC stadium, been to a bunch of Big Ten, American/Big East, ACC, MAC.. but this is my first SEC!!

I went there to see Tennessee vs. Alabama a few years ago and it was quite a show. Just wish the "3rd Saturday in October" game I saw had been more competitive.
If you go be sure to check out the pre-game Vol walk and the band marching into the stadium playing Rocky Top. Also go to Calhoun's for BBQ!

I was down there years ago to watch tenn-fla when Tebo played. Never seen so many orange sun dresses in my life. It is when I realized I should have gone to school down south. I agree about watching the band. I also realized then that the umass band playing hits from the 50's is 1AA.

If anyone is going to the game has some Umass accessories (Umass beer cozy, umass pin, or even umass colored beads) I will gladly give you cash or buy you drink post game or give you some of my beer/liquor at tailgate.

Yes I know I could have ordered, but there is nothing on Amazon (accessories) and the Umass gift shop was shipping was 2 weeks. There was nothing I can do for 2 day shipping.

No worries... figured I would ask. If there is someone bringing gear, we can discuss ways to meet. Appreciate it!
