InnervisionsUMASS wrote: Mon Oct 08, 2018 12:59 pm Even with the utter crap our program has been over the last 7 years, we've certainly seen a lot of great individual performances/careers here. Isabella and Barr currently, and up until this year, Ford. Breneman, Sharpe, Frohnapfel, Sifrin, Blanchflower to name a few.
Jeremy Miles, Vlad Ducasse, Victor Cruz, Jeremy Cain and James Ihedigbo all were/are NFL guys from our most recent FCS days. Sharpe is the only FBS player to stick in NFL. Granted, Breneman and Blanch were hurt. Ford will not be in the NFL. Isabella will probably latch on somewhere.
How can you forgot all 329 lbs of Elijah Wilkinson playing for the Broncos.
We both did. But, I was listing FCS players and he was listing FBS players. Makes it even more interesting, then, because wilkinson tips the balance towards FBS players in these crappy teams getting better athletic careers than the elite FCS players.

Isabella really has been fun to watch this year. Having a real nice season. Wouldn't be at all surprised to see him playing Sundays next year. Kid can really run

Completely agree, although the program way overstates his height, there is no way to overstate his speed and guts.

Perhaps he will get drafted, but it seems to me that free agency is the usual path for undersized slot receivers. His speed and elusiveness may earn him a pick. Pats - pay attention!!!

I really hope he gets a shot to play on Sundays. If that is not possible, can you imagine him in the CFL getting a 20 yard head start on the defender? Good luck keeping up with him!

What an amazing year. #1 even after playing in horrible conditions for the passing game.

I'm hoping he will be given the opportunity to fill the "UMASS slot receiver position" recently held by Victor Cruz on the New York Football Giants. God knows, they need the help ( although the O line is the biggest weakness ).
All due respect, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart, I'm gonna pass.

I don't care what you think about the program or the coach... if you can get to Gillette on Satruday, you absolutely need to go and support and salute this kid. He's been beyond what any of us thought he could be and he deserves our support. What a performance the other night!

Isabella's 300 yard game is the 3rd WR to do it in the past 5 years. Funny enough, the last WR to do it, was in 2016 when Carlos Henderson did it against UMass.

I assume this is legit. Not sure what to think about his opinion of Andy's shortcomings.
