But since we've had multiple games in the 60s, and Diggins being in a funk, I'm concerned, especially if DHS is going to be out again (I'm not sure his status).

2 different assistant coaches have said that they hope DHS is ready for the first A10 game, 12/31 against St. Joes.

We can win this game if:
. Our bigs (Shahid, Malek and I'll even put Watson in this list) can dominate the boards and get a lot of 2nd chance points.
. Our bigs defend the paint as their 6'5 guards try to take our smaller guards inside.
. Keep our turnovers down.

There are many other factors, but we need to have these 3 go our way.

I'm not saying Frank is right or wrong in his assessment of playing teams that have "veteran players", but here comes another one.

Of Northeastern's top 8 scorers, 4 are in their 3rd year at Northeastern, 1 is in his 5th year and 1 is in his 2nd year. They have 1 transfer and 1 freshman to round out the top 8.

Of our top 8 scorers, 1 is in his 3rd year (Sool), 3 are in their 2nd year (Curry, DHS, Jayden), 4 are in their 1st year (Rivera, Malek, Nate and Akil).

My only complaint about Frank's theory is that at some point, talent and coaching have to win out. So far, I haven't seen either of them get there.

It’s Northeastern gameday!

The 8-3 Huskies will venture west for a clash with struggling 4-7 UMass. Northeastern will look to add to a three-game win streak before winter break, but may have to do so without Alex Nwagha, whose status is up in the air. Tip at 7pm on ESPN+

Not a major blow for the Huskies. He's a 6'7 role player at 15 minutes, averaging 3.8 points and 2.6 boards. His best asset is 1.2 blocks per game.
