Best player on the team. Outstanding news. Wonder how this affects Rivera's situation, if at all.

I really like DHS, but this puts a lot of pressure on Frank to find complementary pieces because DHS is not a reliable 3pt shooter and he can’t consistently play center.
You cannot have DHS on the floor with Ndjigue/Rivera and some center who can’t make 3s… it gets even worse if your PG can’t make 3s (Carbuccia).
Ndjigue and Rivera, if they stay, probably have to come off the bench and play limited minutes for this to be successful.

Ndjigue is a worker, I think with the right coach, he can be more of a weapon as an outside shooter.

Ndjigue can, and probably should start, depending on who the starting guards are. If Ndjigue starts, we need two other guards who can dribble, pass, and shoot. Don't know that Carbuccia will be the starting pg as a freshman. Maybe. I definitely agree that if Rivera stays, he should come off the bench as an energy guy who attacks the rim.

^ He was the most overhyped freshman to come in since David Gibbs!

It's possible Brown starts at PG next year. He led Florida Tech in assist at 3.4. Curry was our best at 3.9 and nobody else was over 2.7. He did, however, have almost as many turnovers as assists. I'm hoping that can be coached up.
With Nate now in the portal, we have no returning guards unless Sool gets his waiver. So we have Carbuccia and Brown as of today. I hope Frank can find 2 more guards who can shoot and another PG. If Sool comes back, I'll settle for 1 more guard who can shoot and a PG.
I know I've said it before, but somehow we have to find a starting center in the portal. Even if Malek comes back, I'm not happy going with Malek and Luka as our #1 and #2 centers.
In any case, I think we can upgrade from Marquis and Nate. While Shahid and Akil showed potential, they didn't produce and hopefully we can upgrade from them as well. Kind of an optimistic view, but that's what this time of the year is for.

With the departures, that leaves potential returnees at:
DHS (confirmed)
Rivera
Ndjigue
Abdelgowad
Foster
Damjanac
(maybe Diggins, pending waiver)
Incoming:
Freshman: Osman and Carbuccia
Transfer: Brown
Yeah, Frank's got some work to do. Maybe this should be in the 2025/26 thread or the recruiting thread.

Safe to say he was overhyped but I wouldn't go that far back, Gapare was a top 70 recruit per 247 (
https://247sports.com/player/tafara-gap ... ol-273154/) - Nate had a ton of big time offers and even had a school visit to Kansas... unfortunately, we did not see much talent from him this season, it sucks. But the tradition will probably continue where he excels at his next school.
