At least we proved winning the MAC Tourney isn't an impossible task.

Well, maybe if we got those refs again it is impossible. The tie-up where the kid took a swing at Banks was ridiculous. I was thinking Flagrant 1 at the very least. And then, Jayden fouling out on something that should've been another tie-up, not a foul.
Completely cowardly by the refs there. Then again, they were carrying Miami's water all night. Why stop?

Refs were compliant in those 37 FTs. Same thing was NOT being called on both ends.
First time watching UMass this season? They don't defend and lead the country in sorry fouls.

This is a very disappointing campaign

They tried. Refs didn’t call it, not surprising the way they were protecting that win streak.

Some home cooking. Not a big deal. We're 4-6:in the MAC. That's bad

The officiating in this league is ridiculous. Kids deserved a win, they played their asses off. As an alum I'm proud of how they represented the Massachusetts uniform. Miami player takes a swing at Banks and he had the restraint to not retaliate, but yet they call a double technical. F'ing joke.
Give WBB more money.

No shame in this one. Fought hard in a game we could have gotten run out of the gym in.

But . . . UM put the RedHawks on the line too often (38 FTAs, versus just 17 for UM), paid for it. Gotta play D without fouling, but that's been a bugaboo all season. (The -21 FTA gap tied a season worst. We did that on 12/30 when we lost at EMU.)

I thought it was a swing at first also, but on another angle it looked like he was just trying to shake Banks off.

Big kudos to Bettiol tonight - his rebounding single handedly was the reason we stayed in the game. Absolutely dominated the Miami OH big guys

That’s a swing Mike. How they didn’t even look at for more then 10 seconds is the problem. Must have gotten a call from the commish.

You guys are gonna find this hilarious but I peaked at the Miami OH message boards, and they're saying the refs called in our favor   wackos, can't even stay humble during a 21-0 season

Then you have to ask why a double technical?

MIami has some OKC-level flop artists, too.

MAC officials are fucking dreadful.

I'm disappointed we didn't win but I have NO complaints about how we played. This was a 20-0 team, and we beat them in every important category except 1. Do we foul more than we should, of course we do. But for this first time this year I am going to say that the refs stole this game from us.

Honestly, we can't play much better than this. I hope we get decent refs when they come to Amherst and they are still undefeated. I think we can beat them. Was it perfect, no. But nobody plays a perfect game.

The fact is that we outplayed them and that shows what this team is capable of. Now, let's see the guys carry this forward and string a few wins together. We have 2 very winnable games coming up, Eastern and Central Michigan. Then the oddball game at Coastal Carolina. After that we have a tough one going to Akron followed by Miami of Ohio coming here.

The biggest problem we have is that our pt guard is a pitiful shooter. This team probably should be 18-4 or 17-5.
