DeGray is back in the Portal after his junior season, and second with the Tigers.

His role was greatly reduced this season, minutes down more than 60%. How much the coaching change played into that, I don't know, but seems like it was a factor.

The NCAA has been giving out waivers to the 1-year sit out rule like candy on Halloween, so unless they change that course, he'll probably be eligible right away. He could argue the coaching change between his soph and junior seasons is a special circumstance.

The 2x transfer waiver will be tested this year. Since Baker has taken over they have had a lot of talk of not being so free with waivers for 2nd transfers.I haven't heard of any no's yet but I also haven't seen any approved if they weren't grad transfers.

Thank you, this was what I was looking for. This is not a hardship case. The coach left before this season, you should not get an atta-boy for trying. Now he Ronnie D might have earned his degree then he can go for four schools in five years.

According to this recent memo, waivers for second transfers (for non-graduates) are going to be a lot more limited.
