Remember on last year's NSD we had lost 46 to the portal and the scholly limit increased by 20. So we started 66 scholly in the hole and had 3 signed recruits when coach H started. This year, we are building a foundation and hoping, as always, a much better team going forward. NSD 2026 has started and a 12 noon youtube, Twitter, UMass athletics noontime show.

Well before Pop was there. He was at BGU since 2019.

Very true, but thought Virginia Tech was a top program. Idk, may have been shortly before being in the A10 for a very brief time.

UConn homers are looking at a 11-1 or 12-0 season under new head coach

Rutgers is Rutgers

Hawaii is being discussed for the CFP

Assuming this team can beat Stonehill and Sacred Heart, we are looking at 2-3 OOC and ? in conference. It is possible another 2 win season

UConn is lucky this year with a few P4 home games for attendance. They will be lucky to get four wins with the schedule they have.

UConn beat a bunch of teams who were pretty BAD last year. Like UAB FIU Buffalo etc. We should have beaten Buffalo. If we lose to Stonehill I would take a hard look at FBS. Really evaluate the whole thing. 2026 could be a turn a round season. Love all the Portal guys; I'm hoping for some wins but if we go 0-37, then I think the MAC boots us.

UConn didn't beat anybody with a winning record last year. It all came together for them. Their win over Duke was their best win and I thought it was a trap game for Duke Of course we didn't beat anybody with a winning or losing record. 22 Portal guys for us is definitely a positive.

Sean Duggan, 32, just became the DC for the Miami Dolphins. 8 years ago he was the LB coach at UMass

Looking at their schedule I predict 6-5 (I'm guessing they add one more game soon to get to 12 games). Tough schedule, I don't miss being independent.

I think we discussed it in another thread, the Hawaii game is getting the axe right? We'll probably have 8 MAC games again I would assume. I'm hoping we can beat Sacred Heart and Stonehill but no guarantees as a UMass fan. 4 total wins should be attainable. Right? Please? I'm begging?!
