Xavier does have a trend of this.
Pete Gillen had Skip Prosser on his staff. Prosser went to Loyola MD as the head coach for one season before getting the head coach gig back at Xavier.
Prosser went to Wake Forest and took most of his staff with him (if memory serves)
Thad Matta is the exception, he was an assistant at Butler before replacing Prosser at Xavier.
Miller was Matta's top assistant when Matta left for Ohio State, got the promotion.
Mack was Miller's top assistant when Miller left for Arizona, got the promotion.

^ That's other-worldly. At Mullins, they just blind you with wicked bright lights.
This is the most enjoyable losing season ever!

Ticket sales for this game are slow. They haven't done a lot of promo on it yet but sales so far are pretty much in line with the rest of the games.

Dinner with Cal the night before in Boston. I wonder what the price tag will be for that.

Must've been a big day at the bar so the Lush pulled out one of his many UMass/Calipari hate articles out of the drawer and submitted it.

Season tickets arrived on Saturday. Each game has a picture of a current player on the ticket. The Dec 16 game vs. New orleans has a picture of Calapri take while coaching at Umass.

Didn't know if this should be in the game thread or not, so I posted it in both.

Curly haired girl friend was predictable, and also left out the usual facts re: Camby, such as him paying UMASS back the $$. So, he sucks.

Yet, I am hardly going to pay $300 to kiss Cal's ass. Why? The whole NCAA/AAU system is so awash with $$, and has nothing to do with academics/earning a degree for almost all of the top contenders.

Cal is effectively that system's leader - "One and done" - kids taking no more that 6-8 college courses, then gone. Their affiliation with the college is the logo.

While I get that Cal raised UM's profile via bball, 20 years ago, UM has moved past that via academic and research achievement - where real stability blossoms. It is growing in quality and strength, just as athletics have sunk and served to be losers and a drain on resources. This is not on Cal, but it is interesting that by all measures, except athletic, UM has risen in reputation and prominence.
