Yeah, he's a weasel for sure but anyone would have taken that raise. The real issue is that the NCAA has no rules preventing a rival school from poaching a coach right before a team enters the playoffs for the first time - money owns college sports now and it's a shame.Quann wrote: Thu Dec 04, 2025 3:57 pmBiggest douchebag going. Isn't Charlie Baker supposed to fix this?inthescoop wrote: Fri Dec 05, 2025 3:08 amYeah, he's a weasel for sure but anyone would have taken that raise. Pretty easy fix..just make rule that you cant even talk to a coach until his season is over. Move the first signing period to January.PintOGuinness wrote: Fri Dec 05, 2025 4:17 amIsn't Charlie Baker supposed to fix this?inthescoop wrote: Fri Dec 05, 2025 3:08 amYeah, he's a weasel for sure but anyone would have taken that raise. Pretty simple low hanging fruit right? Yet Baker is MIA as he's been on a lot of these large scale issues.stevemaz wrote: Fri Dec 05, 2025 5:37 amPretty easy fix..just make rule that you cant even talk to a coach until his season is over. Dukes did their job. Now we just need Duke to do theirs.jjmc85 wrote: Mon Dec 01, 2025 12:09 am The rule is the five highest ranked conference champions, not the P4 champs and one G5 champ.
Duke isn’t ranked in the CFP and has five losses. It is within the realm of possibility that if they win and JMU wins, JMU and the American champ are both higher ranked than Duke.
I really hope JMU gets in as it will show what is possible...jjmc85 wrote: Fri Dec 05, 2025 10:45 pmDukes did their job. Now we just need Duke to do theirs.jjmc85 wrote: Mon Dec 01, 2025 12:09 am The rule is the five highest ranked conference champions, not the P4 champs and one G5 champ.

Maybe, I’m not sure though. I haven’t delved into what he’s made over his coaching career but he has to be over a 20 million dollar net worth easy already. There’s more to life than money, bailing on your team right before they’re about to play in the playoffs and Ole Miss having one of its greatest seasons ever shows what kind of human he is. Duke did their job. Now we get to see if the committee has any guts or if they are cowards. Put JMU and Tulane in.jjmc85 wrote: Fri Dec 05, 2025 10:45 pmDukes did their job. I know. Still has to be a classier way to leave a school than how he's doing it. Sounds like he didn't really say anything to the Ole Miss kids on his way out the door and basically threatened his assistants to jump ship from Ole Miss within a day of being notified or be left behind. You can just tell he's rotten dude with how he's handled the whole exit. Besides that LSU will be probably be paying him and Brian Kelly not to coach there in a couple yearsinthescoop wrote: Sat Dec 06, 2025 8:49 pm ^They paid him $91M. College football is a business. And UMass is a penny stock company that won't fire their CEO.
They will put JMU in. I wonder though if they put Miami in over ND or Alabama?jjmc85 wrote: Sun Dec 07, 2025 12:21 amDuke did their job.
