Are you suggesting that 3 Freshmen will be good enough on day 1 to put them in the tourney? That seems a bit much - no?

.... and to you Swampy, NO WAY does that get him an extension. It may keep him from being fired after this season if they go 10-20, but there is no way in hell he gets extended..... He needs to show he can actually do something with all that talent IMO.

Since you follow this more closely than me, isn't the real question is if these kids commit, can DK coach them? For me, I still see kids who can't shoot and are a light in the lbs

Again, you are making some assumptions here... What makes next years line up "pretty solid"?

- Pipkins may be coming in with a year off
- We have NO CLUE if Hinds and Holloway can play yet
- We have no clue what the results were from DK's review of the whole system but I am telling you right now, if he is not changing anything and he plans on the same system he tried to run last year, he would have a hard timing winning with the fucking dream team.


As I have said before, teams can and will win games in spite of the coach, but good teams win because of the coach, and once the competition steps up a notch (IE: tournament worthy teams) you need a system to be successful against those teams. Until proven otherwise, the guy at the helm of this team is rarely (if ever) the better coach on the floor and therefor will lose a very high majority of games against the better teams.

^And that is the biggest obstacle to this teams success. DK just does not grow as a coach. He will change little, or nothing IMHO.
