I agree about posting up Tre more, and I'll add DeGray. Put the big guys in the box occasionally and
Pack in the D and it might get our perimeter shooters some looks. Everyone is outside the arc

Obviously not a great performance so far, but I think we're seeing the depth of the roster right now. Tre and Garcia having poor first halfs offensively, and you get DeGray and Fernandes playing well and keeping us in the game. I think on the negative side, Dyondre Dominguez just isn't ready yet. McCall has been generous giving him early playing time, but I think that leash needs to shorten until he's more comfortable out there.

Looking for Tre to get going in the 2nd half as well as one of the two "shooters", Pierre and Weeks.

Really bad coaching strategy going into this game, did they think that the 2nd game was going to be as easy as the 1st? Cmon!

Dominguez is putting in effort but he seems to be a second too late on everything. His instinct just isn't there and I don't believe that he is the legitimate 3 point shooter that he thinks he is.

Also, surprising to hear from the announcers that Dibaji Walker was a straight up DNP - Coaches Decision in the first game and it was not due to an injury?

Agreed. Coen is a very good coach and MM is unproven. UMass probably has at least 5 of the 6 most talented guys in this game, and we’re losing at the half even though we’re playing hard. The big rotation and athleticism is really showing up on D and on the boards, but the offense has a loooooong way to go.

He has given us 8 points, but made some bad turnovers and hasn’t run the show very well.
Agree on Dominguez.

Synching up radio with TV is impossible. There was a time when it was easy.

I'm liking how quickly UMass is making the outlet pass after getting a defensive board.

Garcia is a pleasant surprise, doesn't play like a freshman.

Is it the familiarity Woodstock contingent have with each other and 'Bergeron style' or has the roster has undergone an infusion of higher level talent since last season? I know it's only game 2 of this unprecedentedly weird season and the team needs to shake off the rust of inactivity and come together as a team, which I feel they will do, but these guys appear to be on the same page. There's a good vibe coming from this team.

I generally dislike games that start early, especially early in the season and it’s kind of showing itself in this game. Not going to beat too many teams shooting 33% with 9 turnovers in a half Hanging in there as NU isn’t doing much better.

Our two shooters need to get going here — 2 for 8 in this one after going 8 for 26 in game one. Didn’t really matter too much that first game — we didn’t turn the ball over and Tre/Javohn were so damn good so we still scored 94. But this one is different story.

Cut down the TOs, get the forwards more involved, TJ or Carl get hot. We get two of those three things we should win.

3J and Carl gotta step up and make some plays. Combining for 5 points right now. They just have to be better.

All of the players are perimeter players, where it is significantly easier to get shots ....not exactly a hard working team...... the love to press because of the potential steals at the top and easy buckets... the effort in the press gets increasingly lower the closer to the NU basket....

I'm good with Mark Gasperini never attempting a 3 again.

I tried to ass NESN to my SPECTRUM package here in NC. First person I talked to said I could do it through a sport package. NO way. Called a second time and spent about 45 min trying to get it added. Evidently when they were TIME WARNER they had a contract with them for NESN but when they switched to SPECTRUM they did not renew the contract with NESN. I complained that with all the FOX sport channels they should get a contract for NESN with all of us new englanders moving south we need to have access to NESN. So the person said that they woul move the complaint up the line to see what could be done.

No discipline.. none.
Coach, you are down by 8, oops, 11. No time to see if the kiddies can play. MM says there is no dropoff in talent. He may be right.
