Isn’t there already an FCS game next season (Sacred Heart?). This is pretty disappointing scheduling news if this is it.

Because they play at Hawaii I believe they can play a 13th game but it is more likely they reschedule the Hawaii game to another season I would think.

Completely agree. Back to back FCS games. Only one counts towards bowl eligibility. As a STH we will have to pay for this game, too.

Unless UConn is moving to Thanksgiving weekend, that Hawaii game isn’t getting moved. That is a reward to players. It was also an open weekend and would still allow for a bye. I contacted the athletic office about this weekend because I am planning a trip, yes, I actually still consider my Saturdays as UMass football days. I was led to believe they would not be scheduling a game on this date. I will miss it. Friends of mine have kids that play at Stonehill, too. Kind of bummed to miss it.

Don’t get it.

Just hope we can pick up 1 or2 QB's in the portal that can make a difference plus some good offensive linemen and defensive backs

I want a defensive back who is fast enough to chase down a receiver who catches a twelve-yard pass over the middle on his way to a 40+ yard gain. Or better yet, a defensive back who breaks up said tweive-yard pass over the middle.

It's not greedy. Fellow MAC'er Kent St had 1 win in 2023, 0 wins in 2024, and then went 5-7 this past season (4-4 MAC). The big leap this past year was with an interim coach after they fired Kenni Burns in April. That is a genuinely shitty and unwinnable situation for a team that had been floundering for years, and they somehow got to 5 wins. Quann, go ahead and set expectations for a team that supposedly has a top-of-the-MAC budget. I'm right there with you.

Hopefully we can get an OC that is with the times and runs more than 3 plays.

We are playing 2 FCS teams so 1 win would be terrible. To me anything less than 6 is bad. We have a weak schedule in a weak conference. We are told we have the highest NIL in the conference and head coach
Is highest paid - thus we should expect to win,

And call plays that the players can actually execute. The OL was woefully slow, yet every running play was off tackle and required guys to get out in front when they couldn't get there. RBs had to beat two defenders every time they got the ball due to poor design based on the linemen's abilities.

We all know what it will take we just need to get the players to accomplish it.
