I’m guessing Musa will be back.

Feee admission and free parking. Hope to see some of you there.
Normally Carvy likes to rest guys who played overseas but who knows. Would think Musa and Keenan would rest or maybe not play much

Nor are a lot of other guys, either.
UM live stats show 14 skaters, 24 on roster.

Both guys are here though.

Scorecard lists 22, plus the 3 guys in tournaments

FYI….UMass won 7-0. They’re played a 5-minute OT and a shootout too.

How did they do in the shootout?

UMass Hockey
@UMassHockey
Closed out regulation with two more goals, played a scoreless five-minute overtime period and then won a seven-round shootout, 2-1

Looking forward to the gold medal game tonight.

The Czechia-Canada game was great.

Hoping Nestrasil come home with the gold!

8:30 tonight on the NHL Network.

Lost 1-0 yesterday to BU. Had some good scoring chances but couldn’t capitalize.

I’m encouraged by the performance though. One thing to work on is faceoffs. Seems like every game UMass is dominated in the faceoff circle. Another chance tonight at Agganis.

Hockey East Tournament Champions or bust. At Large bid hopes are essentially flushed unless they somehow run the table to the HE Championship game.

Develop the young talent, work on the issues, get ready to try and make a March run and get better for next season.

Team needs to get it in gear soon.

Not to dwell on the negative, BUT….18 total shots are not going to win many Hockey East games. 1 more hut the post. The lines were mixed to start, starting with the recent first line, but I think an injury pushed them back to the old alignment during the game. A few guys who have played regularly were out of the lineup. They are willing to change things up to make things happen, but last night’s changes didn’t get the results they need. Not being in Metro Amherst, I don’t know if the guys missing were DNP-CD or injury related. Only 1 penalty was a positive, but also only drew 1 penalty.
I know that No Michigan is not HE level, but UM had 70 shots on goal in game #1.

Always big to beat BU. Hopefully this is the start of a run.

Edit- as of right now, UMass would be on the road at Nottheastern in the hockey east tournament which doesn’t have a home rink. I wonder where that game would be played if they end up hosting…

They have a few upcoming new homes, Bentley, Tsongas and Portland (vs Maine) , and Walter Brown.
Would guess HE would want Walter Brown.

Hard fought win at Merrimack. The Warriors had a lot of the scoring chances. Hrabal was stellar in net.
