It was probably even better than it sounded. A half step inside the FT line. He cocked it and put it right on the kid. Should have called a block as well.
Gotta clean up the turnovers - they were all unforced, lazy turnovers.
And transition defense, and defense in general....we were here to make sure we outscored them, no one was interested in stopping anyone.
3-0....still feels good. Keep it rolling.....

Well, we're #13 in RPI now
So there's that.
A-10 #3 in Conference rating.

A little sloppy but they're not all going to be pretty. YSU clogged the lane and clearly made a point of preventing us from killing them on the offensive glass. They flustered us a bit and we settled for too many 3's in the early going. In the second half, I thought we could have blown it open earlier but we missed like four straight open looks about midway through the half, preventing us from blowing it open.
Ultimately, we defended well and started going at them (though I still wish Cady would have gotten more touches). Our athleticism simply wore them down and we took care of business. Encouraging that we can play a but sloppy but still win comfortably. Also good that DK still has a lot to work on with them. I don't foresee us coming out sloppy against Nebraska.
Two quick things:
Really, really bummed with the crowd size. 4,231 is 2,000 or so fewer than they should have gotten today. And given that the student turnout was strong, I don't get it. No Pats game today. What the hell were you doing in Western Mass on a Sunday afternoon?
Putney's dunk: ABSURD. Didn't love the taunting afterward, but holy shit. That was unreal. Like a legitimate contender for the play of the day. You can watch every UMass game for a decade and not see a dunk that pretty.
On to Nebraska. Gotta have this one.
