Insider...I am guessing you are talking about Jordy and not Omari? Jordy has had UMass reach out to him. He is from the Montreal area and has a brother playing pro in Asia and another brother who is a 6'11 freshman for TCU...the professional brother is handling all of the recruiting on this one, so proximity to MacDuffie won't matter much. As for his ability, he lost over 50lbs in the last year and has dedicated himself to improving all aspects of his game and it has shown through in his play this year. By no means does he dominate the whole game but he has become pretty effective. The thing is Unique's and Jordy's styles of play don't really match up...if you want to play fast you want Unique and not Jordy...if you want to play 1/2 court then Jordy will be effective and Unique will struggle.

^ I would've thought he was talking about Omari Spellman, who is apparently McLean's best friend. I'd guess that won't matter, Spellman can go to pretty much any college he wants, he's a top 30 recruit.

If McLean comes here he's a 2-3 year starter and impact player for at least 2 years. Get real man. This kid is legit. Also I don't know what the spellman talk is about dude has an offer from uk he ain't coming here

I was talking about Jordy. I havent seen him play so thanks for the insight. I see this team transitioning to a team full of guards and small forward types with only 3 or 4 big men on the roster. You dont need to behuge in the A10.

Unique was there with his coach, Jacque Rivera and with Andy being the point man on this recruit I would think they at least met with him...I had to leave right after the final whistle, so I can't say for sure. Jacque is involved heavily with the largest AAU program in NYC (EYBL team) and as long as he is at MacDuffie they will have talent, but he doesn't get super involved in their recruitment (probably most involved with Unique though) he is more focused on their development as kids and players. Cal picked out 4 schools for Brad to consider when it was decided he was going to go the prep route and basically let Brad choose once he visited and he choose Jacque and MacDuffie. Some have suggested that we need to land more New England kids and this could develop into one of the pipelines...Unique would be a big first step.

I did see him yawn once, so I question his true level of interest in UMass and, more importantly, whether he has the "motor" for this level of basketball. Also, I didn't care for his shirt.
