Re: 2018-2019 Prediciton Thread
I haven't seen him in practice, but he averaged a little over 5 boards a game for Rutgers as a freshman. He's a little bigger and stronger now so it's not out of the question he could jump to 8+ this year. If Holloway can play 25 minutes or more he should lead the team, but he's never done that. In fact, his highest year was 19 minutes a game.Roadtrip wrote: Thu Oct 11, 2018 10:21 am I see some folks picking Laurent for leading rebounder: thought about picking him, but have no indication that he is a good rebounder. Any thoughts on this from someone who has seen him in practice etc?

The 104 points scored Friday exceeds any prediction I recall here. Now on to beating the wins predictions.

Didn’t we just score 104? that 95.5 doesn’t fit...eldonabe wrote: Mon Nov 12, 2018 1:23 pm OK here is the tabulation of Average/most popular - not many predictors (13) but so what - its fun!

Re: 2018-2019 Prediciton Thread
Would be thrilled to see 5,021 average attendance. Not much in out of conference schedule to drive fans through the doors.
Re: 2018-2019 Prediciton Thread
5,021 is very optimistic, even if the team does well. That's a quantum leap. If I could revise 1 item in my predictions it would be high scorer in a single game. With the balance we have I'm not sure Pip will hit 39.
Re: 2018-2019 Prediciton Thread
I think there will be at least 1 game where Pip puts the team on his back. He may not make it to 39 but he'll be up in the 30's.

Re: 2018-2019 Prediciton Thread
If Umass wins 9 or 10 in the non conference - I think they can attract some more students to games: HOWEVER, they have a gauntlet out of the gate in the A-10 conference schedule. They could go 2-6 as easily as 6-2. If they get out of that stretch 5-3 or so, they will have a great chance at a top 3 in the league and as we all know everybody loves a winner in Amherst - that bandwagon will fill up quickly.
Re: 2018-2019 Prediciton Thread
Everybody loves a winner all around the world. Is there even a large fanbase anywhere for a team that is perennially mediocre?eldonabe wrote: Tue Nov 13, 2018 8:41 am as we all know everybody loves a winner in Amherst - that bandwagon will fill up quickly.
