This must kill the Globe that hockey is doing well and now news that they have to report! They start the article “UMass Amherst” !! The athletic department in its Game Notes across the Athletic Department gives options for referring to the teams! It also states, “Do Not Refer to as UMass Amherst” !!!

So petty!!

Putting your absurd bias against white males aside for the moment, fyi, Coach Martin is Cuban.
I stand corrected on Martin's lineage.

Your other point, however, is absurd, and I won't even entertain it. Lemme guess... coming from an old white guy. Wow you're such a victim.

Anyone with two eyes will notice that Bamford has a pattern of hiring men (even for women's sports) and they trend very very white. Yes, it is concerning, just like it is in the NFL, and college sports all over.

As an FYI David Jackson was appointed Director of UMass Track and Field and Cross Country a year or 2 ago.I am far from a Bamford fan but I don’t think he has any prejudice.

I've read a lot of interviews, watched a lot of videos and press conferences since his name came up, and I'll use the word passionate to describe his style. He comes off more like a teacher and a father.
His team went to the Final Four in 2017. 5 years ago. I don't believe that the culture/discipline/methods kids expect now are significantly different from 5 years ago.

Random question, will he be the first person who coached against UMass then later coached Umass? Did Lappas ever do it?

Nothing negative regarding Coach Martin, just responding where it was posted…….but have you heard of the Transfer Portal and Tre Mitchell - not mutually exclusive…

Why are you so obsessed with the pigment of someone's skin? Great hire! Dare I say best Men's hoops coach hire since Cal left? Pumped for next season.

Lot of posts about SC players following him here. However, 3 of the 4 mentioned are guards. Unless someone leaves we don't need a lot of guards. Need at least 2 or 3 BIGS, especially a rim protector.

I'm not victim. However as long as you insist on making erroneous and absurd comments like a a complete jackass I will happily call you out for them. Don't like it? Don't say stupid things. :D
