What are we paying for? Frank has been terrible so far and UMass Athletics is OVERPAYING greatly for a MAC Conference coach!! What the hell is going on? 1.8 million for a $350,000 result? Some people who are enabling this need their heads examined. Enough is enough!

If Frank doesn't figure out how to stop dribble penetration, we may not win another game, except maybe UMass Boston. And after today, that's no longer a guarantee. I've said it more than a few times in other threads, our biggest issue is interior defense. The 2 guys that killed us are 6'4 and they didn't do it from 3.

Just laughing at the previous responses here. We went 3-0 against teams ranked 300+ but we played sloppy, poor basketball and when I said negative comments about the team, the replies were wow we complain about everything, and yet we’re winning. It’s about the long game and we did not look good, and yet we were celebrating? Lol Frank and this team just exposed themselves yet again.

Done watching this team. Let’s keep paying a coach $2M to keep losing and create a friends and family roster. Fuck that

It wouldn't be a UMass-Oregon State game unless it were played outside the Lower 48. Only other meeting: Great Alaska Shootout semifinals, 1991. And I was there.

high peaks said it correctly. paying 1.8 million how we get out played by a team that won four games last year and had its best player not play today. Could not a 350,000 dollara year coach due? and today we have one of their second string players shoot 10 straight free throws without a miss and score over 20 points. Yeah what’s worse is football.!! we have lost every game, of course. Worst college football team in the country..and we fly in basketball for a tournament that has 100 to 200 peoplewatch the game in person. it’s evident that we need some changes. .what is being done is not working.

Guess we have to wait till next year again.

I give a 50:50 proposition that the Martin's will be here next year. We need a guy to come in here and make the team exciting to watch. go with my theory of a 9 man rotation of two servicable bigs, a good pt guard who can hit fts and 3's, his backup, and 5 3 pt shooting wings. to hell with D

This reminds me of McCall's last year. We played in the Jersey Mike's Classic and lost to Ball St, who at the time was ranked 272 in KenPom. This is much much worse though, one of the worst all time losses in program history. Green Bay was 334th coming in to the game and their coach is a sports radio host, coaching is a side gig. To add insult to injury, we get carved up by a bench player averaging 7 ppg and they didn't even have their "best" player available.

Absolutely a fireable offense, but he won't be going anywhere because the buyout is probably too big and his son is coming in next year so he won't retire.

The best observation! Whether we are in man or zone, the other guys - no matter which game so far this year - drive and (1) we get beat and there is a dumb reach around foul, or (2) no one along the baseline slides to help.

And, if you are only watching this UMass hoops team, you are watching the junior varsity. @UMassWBB is a wagon. Fun and a pleasure to watch them execute. Tuesday at 6 on ESPN+.

TOTALLY agree with High Peaks. He was a fraud in Columbia, too, but A hole Bamford has a penchant for signing and rewarding A holes handsomely. He's an idiot in the bench area. How about "praise in public; criticize in private". He has to be the laughing stock of the other legitimate D1 coaches!
