Just my two cents: It's fine to have disagreements and arguments, it's a message board for crissakes. But sometimes people dig a little too much and keep things going for some odd reason (does it arouse them? are they that bored with life? maybe both?). Going back and comparing someone's post in this thread from ALMOST TWO YEARS AGO to a more recent post in another thread certainly falls into this category.

It's really fucking strange to do that unprovoked.

I wasn't looking for that particular post it just fell into my lap and it just happened to be right after the second quote was made. A kid he was willing to cast off for a "better option" two years ago now has the "personality and demeanor to be a great leader" of our team.... how the fuck does he know that when the kid hasn't played any organized game in 12 months?

Just one example of the heaping, steaming piles of bullshit that come from Niles IP address.

Eldon, I'm sorry to say you're on the wrong side of this one. Your attacks on Niles are unprovoked and that's taking it too far. Lord knows we don't all agree with Niles a lot of the time but most of us just let it go. You need to do the same.

Do you all know that you can go to the user control panel, choose the "friend and foe" tab, and specify "foes" whose postings will be blocked? It has really lowered my stress level.

I for one, am with eldonable on this one. The pomp with which Niles expresses his opinion, then discredits anyone else's opinion if it doesn't align with his own is what irks me. As if he is far more qualified than all else here. Far too often, posters spew their 2 cent opinions as fact, only to be proven incorrect, and I don't see any issue with reminding them that they were wrong-- especially posters such as Niles who preach their two cents as gospel. Niles has an uncanny ability to judge and rank recruits on 4 minute YouTube highlights, but any poster who critiques DKs coaching after a 250 game sample size is discredited. I for one find the stupidity in this as so, so thick.

I'll say it again, Niles does a good job compiling information in the recruiting posts and it's valuable to the forum. But until he stops pushing his opinions as fact and jumping on anyone else's just as informed, or uninformed opinions as baseless, I think he should be continually called out for his bullshit and everytime he is proven wrong or contradictory.

Just for the record, I'm not a defender of anyone and not everything can be divided into a camp. I am pretty sure if you look in my closet (and it seems like some of you really do a lot of research in previous posting habits) you'll see plenty of volatile arguments I had with Niles. My point is, Niles didn't even make any kind of new post in this thread and Eldonabe decided to try and manufacture a debate. And if you are fine with that (maybe even get aroused by it), fine. Fuckin' Awesome with a capital A, dude!
