The transition to zone was the difference no doubt about it (love some mid-game adjustments!!) and our offense was spot on tonight, we played tough and never gave up

Great win. Maybe they can get a little momentum going now. If they need to go zone then so be it. The offense is a threat to go for 80+ every game, just need to find some D.

Well goddamn. That was something.

That first half defense had me feeling about as defeated as I have during the McCall era. But the zone helped and the offense just kept coming. They played better on the defensive end and I think that’s all you can ask for.

I’ve never complained about the number of threes this team takes because that is how they are going to score. They don’t have anyone that create their own shot really or much of an inside presence. What they do have our shooters. And that’s what shooters do. There will be games when they don’t shoot well and that will end up in some ugly losses and ugly losses leads to louder complaining. And there will be games against really good defensive teams where the not having a shot creator will hurt them also.

But if they just play even decent defense and do a decent job on the glass then they should be in most of their games because they generally take care of the ball and a couple of guys will bang in some threes.

I don’t really care where Penn State and Rutgers end up in the B10 standings or who they were missing. This was a fun one after a really depressing first half. They could have folded and they didn’t.
