^ No, but students, faculty and season ticket holders will make it pretty close to a normal home attendance. The major outcasts are the NY area UMass fans so I see it as a pretty good advantage for Fordham.

Sucks because I would have gone to this one. Rose Hill is usually the closest opportunity to see UM from where I live.

Also re-titling this thread as it's a home & home, let's just keep the same one going.

Games 28 & 29, 2021-2022 Fordham (2/28 & 3/2)

Might as well get this started. First of all, Fordham stinks. They lost perhaps their best player, Daye, after 14 games when he quit the team. Their leading scorer, Quisenberry (17.3 all games, 18.4 A10) hasn't played since 2/8 with a knee injury. He's getting close but he probably won't be 100% if he does play.

Without Quisenberry they have trouble scoring 60 points. They rely on defense and on Chuba Ohams (13.5 points, 11.3 boards in A10 play). If we want to avoid Wednesday, we need to win both games.

Edit: Sorry, didn't see the original thread way down the page.

The season has been a bust, but I still want these guys to play together and finish strong. Can we neutralize Chuba and get our offense going? As 69 said, both games are must wins to avoid the pillow fight. Their coach is probably preaching the same thing. They have an opportunity for their highest finish in quite some time. They finished 10th at 7-11 in 2016/17. These two games are going to be battles.

kind of strange numbers, as ESPN predictor gives UMass only a 31% chance of winning, but the line is only Fordham -2

Umass will win tonight.

Then - Fordham will make adjustments and Umass will not, and Umass will lose at home on Wednesday.

This has the look and feel of a high school basketball game in all ways.

This game is a free for all. Everyone jacking shots. Not liking this. We should be killing them at this point

I’ve noticed that we aren’t so good at closing out the half.
