Linda Bruno resigning!!
With the good news of TF's re-commitment to UMass, I thought I we could resurrect some more good news. I just tried to google this, but I can't find much info on any kind of search for a nice new A10 commissioner who can expel the bottom feeders of the league and get the tv contract straightened out. She is leaving, isn't she?
Retarded artistically. Idiotic in other respects.

When you are the face of a conference that slowly but surely lost its national relevance during your tenure, people tend to talk. Not to mention shotty television contracts, the addition of seemingly random (and not geographically accurate) teams, the loss of football, etc.
I'm not sure if you're a fan of hers or not, but the general population disliking Bruno is about as "convenient" as the general dislike toward Lappas. Sure, maybe neither person was responsible for the FULL downfall of the entities they were responsible for, but they were the face - and with that comes responsibility and blame.

I hadn't seen this mentioned anywhere else...

Nice find lane, I also saw another quote from J92 on the A10 message board. These are my two favorite quotes:

From 1995-2000, McGlade served on The NCAA Women’s Basketball Selection Committee and chaired that Committee in 1999 & 2000. During that period, she participated on the eight-person NCAA TV Negotiating Committee. This group secured the largest TV contract for any sporting event totaling $6.2 billion in revenue from both CBS & ESPN for the men’s and women’s basketball championship and numerous additional National Championships.
Throughout the 1990s, McGlade continued to expand her responsibilities and experience by serving as the Tournament Director for the 1993 NCAA Women’s Final Four which secured the first pre-sellout in the history of the event. Additionally, she served for a year and a half as the 1996 Olympic Game liaison for the Georgia Tech Athletic Association, developing and coordinating the Association’s strategic plan.
