The problem for Whip is that Morris left the cupboard pretty bare and his inadequate replacement did not do much to improve the situation. So Whip came in having to do a major rebuilding job. With what he brings in for new recruits he should do a lot better next year especially without the punishing schedule.

I'm in it for the long haul. Next year can be great with a little more discipline and a new DC.

Next year: A pretty damned good returning offense. More depth on defense, especially with the redshirts coming out of what appears to be a good recruiting class. A much more sensible schedule. And all home games on campus. Only then can we pass rational judgment on this endeavor.

Looking forward to next year. Knew this year would be tough with so many young players. At times this team exceeded my expectations. Then disappointed as well, like the Tulane game, but overall came out better than expected. Looking forward to next year and all games being on campus. Or is there a game in Fenway?

Since then, Oberlin has managed to win at least one game every season, including three years at 5-5, until 2016, when the Yeomen slid back to 0-10.
And John Heisman coached football there for three years in the 1890s.
AND Oberlin is the last in-state school to beat THE Ohio State University. That was October 8, 1921, yo.
