Bob Davis must have got some $$ from OD, no? Wasn't he making some coin here, at least from the jewelers place that was posted?

I get the point you’re making but I think money was most definitely involved. That is, Keon probably was not offered ANY (regrettably) because, you know, we had to free up all that big coin for Matt Cross. But that’s cool. Matt sent a nice tweet on his way out and we got ourselves some new rentals.

There were only 3 others who played anything close to reasonable minutes: Keon, Davis and Majok (barely). Mason didn't see much time and Cronin was a walk-on. We also had 2 guys enter the portal who weren't even on the team last year, Gianni and Mayhugh. So we really had only 5 legit players transfer.

Keon ended up at Stephen A. Austin (18-15, 10-10 in the WAC, led by Grand Canyon and Tarleton State).
Davis ended up at Old Dominion (7-25, 3-15 in the Sun Belt, led by App. State and James Madison).
Majok ended up at Oral Roberts (12-19, 5-11 in the Summit Conference, led by South Dakota State and North Dakota).

I guess the point I am trying to make is that other than Cross and Cohen, all of these guys went down a level or two and I'm not sure money was involved. Maybe Oral Roberts has some, but I'm not sure they would give a lot to a guy who averaged 0.8 points and 1 rebound.

Obviously, replacing Cross, Cohen and Keon is a challenge, but I think the depth will be much improved this year. Frankly, we stunk once you got past the seventh man. Davis was #8, but he only had 2 or 3 good games.
I am very confident in Frank and staff's ability to develop players so I think we will see some serious leaps from our returning sophomores like we did with Rahsool in his second year here. I 100% was not sold on this roster the first couple of times I thought about it but it has really grown on me.

I am not saying that I expect an NIT/tourney team but I absolutely think either is attainable if somethings go our way. We deserve it.

I think if Curry has a big offseason we could actually be better. Seem to be more well rounded, bigger & more athletic up front, deeper, and quicker. Hate that Keon is gone, but if Nate can give us that tough defensive defender that would make me more comfortable. I think the offense will be more spread around, and I think we'll be able to play uptempo if we need to, as it looks like we have some guys who can get up and down the floor. I think the big kid (Watson) is gonna surprise and be pretty good

Just to finish up the transfer news, the last 2 commits have been made. Cronin (walk-on) is going to Yeshiva Univ. and Tyler Mason is going to Bethune-Cookman. I actually thought Mason might help us. Not sure what happened with him, but he never got a shot. Now, every player that entered the portal has found a home.

Welp a late addition apparently heading our way. No idea about the logistics of this roster-wise.

Not hard to see why Frank likes him after watching some tape. Dude is bouncy and looks physical from what I saw. Not surprising given that he is a bounce back from Shaheen Holloway.

6-11 who spent 1 year at Seton Hall, hardly played. 1 year in JuCo at Southern Idaho. The big question, as already asked, is "who isn't coming"?

He was registered for the 2024 NBA draft for a while.

Another big man. Damn! We got the height this year, that's for sure.

Is there a chance he might be a walk on? I mean, 5.9ppg, 5.6rpg in Juco is not that great.
