Conference opener next Wednesday at 7 pm.

UMass-St. Blows games are always competitive.

Looking forward to UMass starting the conference season with a W!

Too bad the Alumni game wasn't pre-Frankentelli....maybe Rigo would have played.

Start throwing long toss in the driveways gentlemen...

Tis the season to bean Lunardi with snow balls (packed with ice in the middle).

That's good humor. I'd probably tear a rotary cuff and have to supress more anger.

4 point loss to Creighton
loss to a good LSU team

I can't wait for Atlantic 10 basketball to start up on Wednesday! I love conference play and I love A10 hoop!

Saw on my program guide that CSN New England will broadcast this game. SNY is showing it too.

You are correct sir. The Celtics are playing that night but they're on the west coast so they won't be on till after. SNY has a pregame show on at 6:30. Lets get a BG crowd there though to start conference play! I know it's a Wednesday night, but lets get that place rocking and rolling with 7,000+. Get conference play off to a good start. I almost feel like these 1st 3 A10 games are must wins to really get this thing going. We need a top 4 seed for the A10 tourney, but I really think we can win the regular and postseason titles. Getting off to a good start at home on Wednesday and Saturday with some awesome crowds is what we need!

Wow, didn't realize that SNY was doing a pregame show as well. I know they signed some kind of deal to show A10 games but that's really going above and beyond. Looking at the program guide there's also a postgame show scheduled after the game. Glad that Comcast offers this channel on their sports package.

Yeah, but that's better than your lumbar faucets leaking.

The way we've been playing, I think we could lose this game. SJU has a lot of talent, a LOT of talent, and if they play with energy and confidence they're as good as anybody on our schedule. They don't normally play up to their ability, but this is a situation that could bring out the best from them. Especially since wasn't it just last year that they opened they game by going up 17 points on us, and then lost? That alone is plenty of motivation. I really question whether our team is mentally ready.

After watching the last two home games where we didn't seem to have a lot of energy I'm hoping that starting the A10 schedule gets the guys motivated again. Wednesday's game is important and as Len said, St. Joes does have talent.

If we come out with a lot of fire on Wednesday I'll feel a lot better about the team than I do today. I know it's nuts to be complaining about a 12-1 team, but they have raised our expectations so much I look for a great performance every game, which it totally unrealistic.
