If you read the replies to his tweet about the jersey, it looks like the BC clowns are trying to break the record for "most times tweeting the same stupid joke".

Cal will bend over backwards to flex his schedule so that he could come to Amherst. He did it for Leaman's memorial service, he came to Camby's retirement ceremony, etc.
Scheduling a UK/UM game is another story entirely. Cats are #1 in the nation and they can pick whomever they want to play. Besides, hasn't Cal said that he doesn't like to play his former associates?

Was Cal at Memphis when the Memphis-UMass game was scheduled at the Garden? I Know he wasn't coaching in the game, but I think when it was announced, he was still at Memphis.

Cal did not come to Camby's number retirement. He was on video and gave a prerecorded speech. His son goes to prep school in Granby and will be there next year as well so I'm sure he is in the area more than anyone realizes. A UK @UM game is very unlikely but I agree they'll find a way to make it work.
But UK at UM would be so nice

Want to thank @UMassAthletics for honoring my teams and me from the '90s w/a banner. A special time with special players at a special place.

Cal's number being retired is a well deserved tribute for all he did here.
Glad to see the 95/96 team to be honored as well.

UMass vs. Kentucky, whether it be at the Mullins (preferably) or in Boston, would be such an overwhelming positive for UMass, regardless of the outcome of the game itself, so put aside any bullshit about feeling bad for beating your protege/mentor. I don't believe for a second that if Calipari tells Kentucky's AD he wants a H&H with UMass that he would be told no. The game would make for great headlines and positive PR for all involved.

+1. I hope that happens. It would be a rare highlight for what looks to be another challenging year next season.

Can't wait for that Dakari Johnson/Skal Labissiere (#3 recruit) vs T-Berg and Holloway matchup!

I love watching Kentucky play and Cal is always great on the sidelines. Would love to see them go undefeated. That game would be very ugly but good publicity for UMass. Never know though how many players will leave Kentucky after they win the title this year, so maybe we have a 2% chance of beating them?

While it would be nice to see Cal again, how would losing by 65 and the game over at 1/2 time be an overall positive?

You left out a decimal point and a few zero's before the 2.

It's not a complimentary article about Calilpari. One guess which Glob employee penned the article.
