Final Spot for Kellogg bobble Head
Final Spot for Kellogg bobble Head
Notice the Kellogg bobble head on the mantel and was thinking it's crowded up there so what should I do with it?
Be proud of the present and look to the future.
Re: Final Spot for Kellogg bobble Head
I have two of them and keep them to remind me of what I don't want to see from future teams. Should I put them on EBay?

Just tap it once in awhile and yell, "Move! Move!!".
You'll feel better.

Mine is proudly displayed right on my humidor in the mancave. I know mine is not a popular opinion, but I respect Derek and appreciate all the time he spent at UMass as both a player and coach. I truly believe he gave this university everything he had. Was it enough? Probably not. Maybe this should not have been his first head coaching gig. Maybe he should have hired better assistants and listened to them more. There are a ton of maybes that obviously will be posted about until the end of time, but I am firmly in the camp that thanks Derek for his effort and wishes him the best at everything he does going forward.

Nice! Obviously this thread was started with a subtext that was intended to allow a free for all bashing of DK. I don't know why people feel the need to rehash the worst aspects of the past and not look at the good, for example DKs passion for the school. Don't get me wrong he didn't win enough games to keep his job. But, I don't think smashing his likeness, etc. is appropriate. I also don't know why what I assume are grown ups think it a fun thing to discuss the many ways they might destroy or treat a doll.Mark W wrote: Fri Jan 05, 2018 7:50 am Mine is proudly displayed right on my humidor in the mancave. DK and his family are really good people. He just didn't do a great job here.
Re: Final Spot for Kellogg bobble Head
Can you add another option?
Donate to Stevemaz so he can up his ROI for UMass expenses/state taxes?

Re: Final Spot for Kellogg bobble Head
Mark W's post hit the nail on the head.
The inability of people to let things go bothers me more than anything that happened while DK coached at UMass.

Keep it. DK is a good dude and an alum and he took us to our first tourney in 16 years. Two decades from now people will remember him far more fondly than they currently do--not unlike Bruiser by the way.
