====== Atlantic 10 Conference ====== The Atlantic 10 Conference (A-10 / A10) is a college athletic conference which operates mostly on the United States' Eastern seaboard. The league was created in 1975 and began play in the 1976-77 season.((https://atlantic10.com/news/2020/9/1/about-the-atlantic-10-atlantic-10-celebrating-45th-anniversary-in-2020-21-unveils-commemorative-logo.aspx)) The conference was first named the ECBL (Eastern Collegiate Basketball League), then next season went to the simpler "Eastern 8". The name changed to the Atlantic 10 for the 1982-83 academic year. Though the name implies ten member institutions, the league has always had a fluctuation in number of members. Massachusetts had been a member of the A-10 since the league's inception, having moved over from the Yankee Conference in 1976. UMass moved to the MAC for almost all sports, basketball included, effective July 1, 2025,((https://umassathletics.com/sports/2024/2/28/maction)) in a move driven entirely by football. ===== Men's Basketball members and alignment ===== ==== 2022-23 thru 2024-25 ==== Since the 2022-23 season, the A-10 manages 15 schools in one division. Each school plays all other schools once, with four schools matched in a home-and-home series, for an 18-game schedule.((http://www.atlantic10.com/ViewArticle.dbml?SPSID=799991&SPID=136228&DB_LANG=C&DB_OEM_ID=31600&ATCLID=209491824)) ^School^Location^Home Venue^Capacity^ |Davidson|Davidson, NC|[[wp>John_M._Belk_Arena|John M.
