Ware 26; Aggie 4.
From Aggie Life, January 24, 1900
The game with Ware played on Jan. 13, was not to be called basket ball, but was more like a game of foot ball. From the start Ware showed that they played the game with rules of their own, and as the referee showed no disposition to penalize them the Aggie team was at their mercy. The game for the first half was a revelation to our boys and the Ware team succeeded in throwing six goals. In the second half the team resolved to use the same tactics as they were getting and as a result the game ended in a general scrap.
The line up was as follows:
| WARE | AGGIE |
| Buckley, l.f. | r.g. Dellea |
| Haley, r.f. | c.g. McCobb |
| Riley, c. | c. Rice |
| M. Buckley, c.g. | l.f. Halligan |
| Boyer, r.g. | r.f. Chase |
