The 2027-28 UMass Minutemen men's basketball team will represent the University of Massachusetts, the flagship campus in Amherst.

The season will represent the 119th season of basketball in the school's history. UMass is expected to remain a member of the MAC, having joined in July 2025.

• Nov. 8 (Mon) - home versus a Sun Belt opponent. UMass is expected to play in the MAC - Sun Belt Challenge, hosting a Sun Belt school on November 8, and visiting a Sun Belt school on February 5.¹⁾
