Its probably as good a year as any to come out with the new NBA age restrictions locking 18 & 19 year old kids from competing against him.

A few quick thoughts on yesterday's game:

We just plain outplayed FSU for the first 15 minutes. We moved the ball plretty well and stayed patient. We generally got good shot opportunutes and took advantages of their defensive lapses when they were there.

Looking back I remember there being some concern back when Derek Kellogg took over th point as to his ability to run the show and then again in 95-96 when Edgar Padilla took over the point, there was some concern that he was really only a shooting guard. It is just something else to yell. There is nothing great about it, but there is nothing terrible about it either.

The problem I have is that you all put so much emphasis on "YOU SUCK." Our crowd yells a hell of a lot more than just "YOU SUCK." And we cheer for OUR team a lot more than we cheer ...

For the record, Hannum's 5 or 6 year old son is at every game sitting at the table infront of the Pep Band. He here's the song 1 to 2 times every game. You're gunna try and tell the man that "you suck" shouldn't be heard by children when obviously it is acceptable by him for his own children ...

You make it sound like we can only have one chant and it's either "you suck" or something else. There's something called variety.

When Rock and Roll Part 2 comes on it's time for "You suck", when the Cowboy Cheer comes on it's time for "Go! Fight! Win!"

You're right, it is pointless to do it when we are losing, but when we go on a big run, it fires up the student section, which in turn fires up the team etc...

So your theory is that telling the other team "You suck" is more effective in firing up our team than any other chant such as a pro-UMass ...

Reading the articles does worry me a little on the recruiting front. That article above mentions the rutgers coach how he has had some trouble recruiting this area. I'm hopeful that maybe with this group of players for a couple of more years (minus Viggiano next year), that he can have some success ...
