cbs.sports.com has in game. Announcers going on and on about our great three pt shooting. One guy says it's the greatest display he's ever seen live. Hahahahaha!
One made three pointer short of the school record of 16.

Nice win against an atrocious team. Nice to see a lot of the guys lighting it up from outside the arc, but that kind of basketball will get this team nowhere. I hate live by the three die by the three basketball, but it looks like that is what we are stuck with this year. Tomorrow night's game should be a decent test.
Morgan was unconscious in the first half and Freddie started hitting when the lead was big. Still wish there was some semblance of an inside game and some semblance of running plays on offense.

Bamford has erased McCutcheon
I wondered what the first complaint would be after a blowout win. Now I know.
Go UMass indeed!

Another work in progress that may take the rest of the non-conference slate is playing aggressive defense without fouling. Teams are getting in the bonus way too early against us.
Liked to see the team hit shots tonight. Might be a factor of being used to the surroundings in the arena. Watched the FSU game today and it just seemed like players on both sides had trouble getting comfortable with the ball (really bouncy) and backdrop in the first half. Today, UMass seemed much more comfortable on the floor.

I somewhat agree. My only point is that in my opinion, I don't think taking 30 3-pointers is a winning strategy. Tonight it was.ktabz16 wrote:i disagree 78, i thought we did a good job penetrating at least to the high post against the zone. that's partly how we hit 15 of our 30 3's.

Correct, we hit 16 (on 35 attempts) against the Duqies on 2/25/2009uz2b-len wrote:One made three pointer short of the school record of 16.

Derek Kellogg has said the exact same thing about taking so many 3's. Why is he always complaining after big wins? He must hate UMass.Swampy wrote:I wondered what the first complaint would be after a blowout win. Now I know.
