Pretty certain I read an article where AO's father said he's transferring no matter what the verdict.

Yeah, I'd think the ship sailed. Sucks for him to have to sit out if they do get clemency.

Not sure if anyone has brought this up yet, but it looks like he will have difficulty transferring to SEC schools due to "1 yr transfer" rules. Read on ESPN today FWIW..

Will be wierd for him if they win their appeal, making UConn eligible next year and voiding his ability to leave without sitting out.

I'm just waiting for the nancies at the NCAA to talk tough about conU and their transgressions, but let them off the hook, again.

When does Missouri officially become as SEC school?

They will make the transition this summer. Fall sports will start in the SEC.

So I bet they can slip him through. They are still a Big 12 school, and if they don't have the same rule, they can enroll him and make him part of the team before the official switch gets flipped.

UMass – If staying close to home is important, the Minutemen have a shot. UMass, currently in the “other” Final Four, graduates its leading rebounder (Sean Carter), but returns its top two scorers in sophomore guards Chaz Williams and Raphiael Putney. Oriakhi would fit nicely.

Couple days old and still just speculation, but it mentions us so I thought I'd share.

today's sports section in the Charlotte Observer stated AO is leaning towards UNC (they have immediate needs)

Im fine with not getting Oriakhi, however, I would like the lost scholarship we have available to go to a transfer honestly. I don't think we have the room for another guy for next year, and it would be better to have a guy whos ready to step in after we lost 3 contributors.

We still have an offer out there to Issac Freeman. He might end up with the last scholarship and I would assume he would need to redshirt for a year. DK has done a really good job with that type of strategy so far.

If AO came here, he wouldn't have to worry about a last minute 5 star recruit getting added at the last minute like he did last year.
