Game 33, 2012-13: Stony Brook (NIT 1st Rd)
Oh yeah, definitely DK's fault that SB shot close to 70%, nailed almost every 3 (contested or not) and Chaz dislocated his shoulder. All DK's fault.farkdogg wrote:I'm glad our coach got our team to play motivated basketball today ... Another disappointing season. 15 and counting...
You anti-DK people really bug me.
That was hands down the most unenjoyable, frustrating game to watch of the entire season. On top of that the video feed was terrible. Obviously in the eyes of our players, this season was over when they weren't selected to play in the NCAA tourney. No desire whatsoever tonight. Sucks because the NIT run last year ended up being a lot of fun to watch. Now we have to stew over this one for the next 7-8 months.
Also, the color guy just said "the story tonight is Chaz Williams injury not allowing him to be on the floor."
Not buying this at all for the reason we lost, we still lose even if Chaz plays the whole game in my opinion.

I just hope Chaz' injury isn't something where they try to rehab it and that surgery is needed (e.g., Cady's foot, and Javorn's ankle) where it impacts next season. I know we don't know what the injury actually is but I'm just feeling utterly pessimistic right now.

Farkdogg has always had a hair up his arse for DK so just take his shot with a grain of salt.njumass08 wrote:Oh yeah, definitely DK's fault that SB shot close to 70%, nailed almost every 3 (contested or not) and Chaz dislocated his shoulder. Absolutely miserable game to watch. Just think, if this was on real ESPN we might have lost by 30.
I don't like saying whether a team played hard or not, but this looked like a lazy half-hearted effort. Jacking up bad shot after bad shot with no defense to speak of. Someone said it earlier, this had nothing to do with Chaz being on the bench. When he was in there he was a turnover machine. In another thread I thought he would really bring it tonight, I was dead wrong
Tough for the seniors to go out this way, but on to next season for us fans.
