Chris, thank you for the awesome job you performed all season long breaking down the opponent watch. You were rock solid and I learned a ton from you. I printed out Lunardi's, Palm's, and Dance Card at 5:45 pm. This is how they fared:
Dance Card: Doesn't do seeding. Missed one at-large (had Cal in and NCSU out - this was probably the correct call).
Palm: Missed one at-large (had SMU play-in and NCSU out - shame on Palm for having SMU). got 6 of 8 play-ins correct. Hit 33 seeds on the nose. Missed 35 seeds by an average of 1.31
Lunardi: Missed one at-large (had SMU as an 11 seed not play-in and NCSU out - shame on Lunardi for having SMU in and not even in the play-in). Hit 38 seeds on the nose. Missed 30 seeds by an average of 1.25
Conclusion: all three did equally well with at larges although Dance Card's Cal is more defensible than Palm's and Lunardi's SMU. Lunardi was better than Palm at predicting the seeding.

SeaDog, It was a pleasure. Not sure there was much to learn, but I enjoy watching the opponents games with a good idea of what the results mean to us.
New Mexico, PC, Nebraska really helped us maintain the profile for that seed....I'll probably be pulling for them in the Dance - I can't just flip a switch and turn it off!

Well, guess what. After we win our first game we get to beat Duke in Raleigh.bunkerhill87 wrote:Coach k is an arrogant a hole. Hate the duke because they are a Goliath. Won't play any mid major away from Cameron.. most of the power teams won't schedule our type of team away. Ya ya I get the money side of it but for them to throw darts they deserved to be exposed. With that said I fear a match up w Pitt as an 8-9 game. Rather be under seeded at 10 and go in w/ a chip on our shoulders. In march I always cheer for the mid majors. Here again the a10 getting no love. Can't wait for vcu and gw and the rest of us roll up some of these teams.
gary parrish picks us to lose to iowa/tennessee

I think New Mexico has a great chance at getting to the Elite 8. I think they'll beat Stanford, and that would give them Kansas. I believe Embiid is out for the 1st weekend right? Good time to get Kansas if they don't have Embiid, Kirk could be tough to stop then. Sweet 16 would give them Dayton/Ohio State/Syracuse. None of those teams are unstoppable. Syracuse is sliding, Ohio State can be very good but also very bad, and we all know Dayton.Chris20 wrote:SeaDog, It was a pleasure. ^^ And that's where the disrespect comes in. Nobody is picking our opponent to win per se because they like the opponent. Hell, they don't know who the opponent is yet. They're picking us to lose to whoever the hell we play because they don't see us as worthy of the seed we got. Good. Hope the guys see all of that.
