Agree, if there's a talented Big (forward, center) out there, let's get him. If not, wait til next year.

Actually, Rivals has Dejon ranked ten spots ahead of Brown.

It just seems like he's held in a higher regard I guess. But hey, even better for us!

Whatever. Miami can have him. I'll take a Jarreau and Gresham over a Brown any day of the week. We came out better than them on the end result.

^ Miami was able to get Bruce Brown and Dewan Huell (a top 30 big man). I'd say they made out quite well.

^very true but I think he was staying within the context of only regarding Bruce Brown, DeJon and Brison.

^

That's likely sour grapes by Miami over losing the LA kids, rather than anything from Brown. But what do I know.

If you're referring to the "Chose Miami over etc..." it's probably because Umass doesn't carry the same weight as the other teams mentioned. They probably hold themselves in a higher regard compared to Umass so that wouldn't be that shocking to Miami fans reading the bio not having known the recruiting battle that was going on.

What I didn't know is that he's already 20 and that he's 2 months older than Celtics rookie Jaylen Brown.

^ Pretty much every kid that goes to one of the New England prep schools is at least a year older because they usually reclassify when entering the prep school. I'm willing to bet that Jarreau & Gresham are about a year younger than McLean and Baldwin.

It's also interesting that Brown seems to have grown an inch or two since leaving HS and going to Miami. I mean, that's typical of 19-20 year olds, right?
