^^nice pun....I think playing in consecutive days will improve umass chances to make a run (if they win). Places more emphasis on read and react vice prepare and game plan. (Not our strong suit). In many ways, it could have an aau tournament feel playing back to back, this should benefit a freshman laden team.

I hate when the season is finally over and we have to wait 8 months for the next one, so let's win tonight and keep our off season a day shorter.

This will be THE longest 8 months E.....V......E......R...... regardless of the coaching situation.

I for one will never speak/write DK's name again after one final diatribe if he is released. If he stays though, all I can say is Mike will be really busy putting out board fires for the next 12 months - yes 12 months until DK has ultimately blown up the entire program and we finally cut the cord for good.

Why can't we get players like this, someone who can dish out assists and shoot 3 pointers? :)

We have players that can perform like that. We just have a poor coach who can't coach them to attain these stats.

Berky, my post was in jest. DK was the player whose stats I noted.

From the Department of Coincidences: the last time we played SJU in the A10 Tourney, the UM coach was also on the hot seat.

Bruiser Flint and the Minutemen got past SJU that night in 2001, but coached his last game at UM the following night.

History repeating this year?

Guys the A10 snub of the entire UMass program for any regular season awards is the flint that will light a massive fire in the bellies of our squad. WE WERE DISRESPECTED! These guys are going to show up for the game tonight with a massive chip on their shoulders like the great American action star Bob Conrad used to have in those battery commercials. I am so confident I have taken Friday off for our game against URI in the quarters. IT IS TIME TO SHOW THE A10 THAT UMASS IS THE TEAM OF THE FUTURE IN THIS CONFERENCE.

Coach Kellogg: We always have to be in the middle of the action 'cause we're the warriors. And without some challenge, without some damn war to fight then the warriors might as well be dead, UMass Hoops Posters. Now I'm asking you - as a friend - stand by my side this one last time.

I sure do hate the 8 months of the offseason also. I do believe that if there will be a coaching change, it will be announced next week. Bamford is surely discussing the possible scenarios (if he has not already made a decision). To fire a coach before the game loss press conference is just cold and unclassy. Firing someone the day after really offers no benefit versus waiting until Monday. Not like coaching replacements are being snapped up with plenty more vacancies to come. In any case, I feel that Bamford will do what he needs to do in the most respectful and classy way.
